Italian Linen Gurkha Trouser in Ecru Pinstripe

I have an ever growing collection of Gurkha trousers from TS and this one is yet another awesome addition. I love that the linen fabric isn't paper thin, but isn't so heavy of a weight that it can feel overwhelming in the Texas summer heat. The pinstripes aren't so obvious, but give the sand-ish colour of the fabric a nice complement.

Two small points: The trousers are actually made in Portugal according to the tag, which isn't what the online product description states. Additionally, I personally recommend you purchase 2 sizes above your typical waist size (which is what I've done with all my Gurkhas). The cut is somewhat tapered, but because these are meant to be worn at the actual waist with their high-rise nature, ordering 2 sizes up, then getting them tailored, will allow the legs to have room to breathe and for the fabric to "drape/flow* better.

I absolutely love these pants! I needed something for a beach wedding and they fit the bill perfectly! The color, material and fit was outstanding!

A very, VERY rare miss for me from Todd Snyder. The cut and style are as expected, BUT oddly I found the pants a bit too see through for me to wear confidently. Yes, granted, these pants are linen and this sorta thing can/does happen -on occasion. However, I have a very similar pair in white (offered 2 summers ago) where the linen was slightly thicker and included a lining.

All in all I do hope that TS continues with this style and cut for at least one more full calendar year. I have a pair in a brown wool houndstooth (from the fall 2022 collection?) that gets me compliments every time, and another pair in a gray/charcoal glen plaid (from the summer 2021 collection?) that goes great with the TS Tuscan leather cross strap sandals in black.

Special Style Note Worth Considering for Team TS: The brown houndstooth wool gurkhas that I own go very, VERY well with (selvedge denim) loafers from Blackstock & Weber. I think a collaboration would be great and well received for those of us that are TS enthusiasts and loyalist. Just a suggestion. Hope you consider.
