Please note that these slides are ONE OF A KIND. Patterns and colors may vary per shoe.
Handmade in Los Angeles, CA, these striking slides feature a band crafted from antique Persian rugs — some dating back as early as the mid-1800s — using time-honored techniques. They feature cushioned, leather-wrapped rubber footbeds; the leather, by the way, is all sourced from Leather Working Group-medaled tanneries. Please note that these mules are each one of a kind — in other words, yours will be similar to what’s pictured here, but will have completely unique variations in color and pattern.
Mikael Kennedy started his career in New York City as a fashion and fine art photographer. In 2009, he began collecting carpets and selling them out the back of an old diesel Mercedes to clients in the city. A decade later, he opened a private showroom in Los Angeles to house his ever-growing collection — and to present his burgeoning clothing brand, KING KENNEDY, which upcycles antique Persian carpets into cult accessories.
