Plaid Full-Placket Knit Shirt in Raisin

I love this shirt. Can't understand the bad reviews. Frankly, you should know better than to put this type of shirt in the dryer. Fits perfectly. Unique and versatile pattern.

I have the same shirt and washed it using cold water then dried on a line. It shrink a half size.

Later in the year, I did the same with another Snyder Montauk sweater polo with a grey geometric print and it shrunk a full size. It is unwearable.

There is something about the fibers in these $300 level polos that literally soaks up a water then constricts. What is the point of saying “hand wash cold” is OK if the garment is ruined. I own clothes from higher end designers that that can withstand a wash once in a while. If Snyder requires all their garments to be dry cleaned every single time, they should consider using different fibers. Other luxury clothing companies have solved this problem.

Sales person stated he had the same shirt and dried with high heat several times and noted “little to no shrinkage”. I purchased M instead of S so that even if a little shrinkage occurred then it would still be fine, as the shirt was $300 and I wanted to make sure it could be safely laundered. After single wash and dry on medium heat there was dramatic shrinkage and new shirt is now unwearable. A well meaning sales person at the Northpark mall in Dallas location unfortunately gave bad advice.

Fine fabric, well-made, good feel, sharp style, clear instructions - if you put quality clothing in the dryer, you deserve what you get. It looks like your reviews brought the price down, so keep drying. We'll get some better deals.
