    As elegant as casual gets, our Madison Suit Jacket represents the epitome of soft tailoring. Both easy-wearing and sharp, it’s what the Italian courtier, diplomat, and author Baldassare Castiglione must have had in mind when he coined the term sprezzatura to describe effortless nonchalance. It’s crafted from a wrinkle-resistant Italian linen and silk blend with the look of tweed, but an easier, lighter feel that will work from late winter to early summer. It has a classic fit, with a natural shoulder and a slightly nipped-in waist. Details include a double vent in the back and a lightweight butterfly lining. There’s also a chest pocket known as a barchetta (Italian for “little boat”) because the sleek curvature of the pocket resembles a small skiff.

    Italian Sophistication

    Already reviewed the pants — I bought the same exact outfit the model is wearing on the suiting page and have already gotten a ton of flexible wear out of the set.

    This jacket is light, breezy and fashionable. Well made and seems like it will last a good while. Although the material itself is likely to be less durable than some, the suit is well worth the price. Highly recommend.
