This take on the traditional Fair Isle sweater keeps everything you love about the classic and gives it a modern update. It’s double-knit from wool yarn for added warmth, in an easy-to-wear polo silhouette. The pattern takes its name from Fair Isle, a small island to the north of Scotland, where this particular tradition of knitting originated. Here, it’s more geometric than the usual organic patterns, and dyed in retro-inspired shades of mint, tan, black and white that work into the holiday season and beyond.

The sweaters in La Buena Vida are all inspired by mid-century styles, layering in different old-school details: an extra tab closure at the hem, tapered waists, extended collars, vintage-inspired patterns, and more.
