It features Randolph’s signature bayonet temples, which follow the curve of your head and were originally designed to enable pilots to wear them comfortably under their helmets. The SkyTec™ Polarized Glass lenses are specially treated for better light filtering, clearer vision and less eye strain, and the frame is plated with jewelry-quality metal for precision and durability. Randolph Engineering was founded in 1973, when former Royal Air Force navigator Jan Waszkiewicz and machinist Stanley Zaleski met in Boston and decided to open up shop together making the world’s best sunglasses. A few years later, Randolph joined forces with the U.S. military to produce the durable and innovative HGU-4/P Aviator for fighter pilots. The family-owned and -operated business is still based in Randolph, MA today, where every pair of glasses is handmade in over 200 steps.
