Following close behind tweed, cord and flannel in the fall classics lineup: the cable knit wool sweater. Todd’s given that fairly thick stitch — introduced in Ireland in the early 20th century by fishermen — a modern update. The soft, lightweight merino yarn (which we love for its smooth, strong, lightweight warmth) is knit in a clean, scaled-up fishtail cable.
