This quintessential winter style is inspired by archival hunting prints and a vintage Woolrich cruiser jacket…with a few modern updates. The luxe, red checked wool fabric comes to us from Italy, and is lined in black cotton Bemberg. The fit is straight, and a little boxy — in other words, it’s generous enough for easy layering over a sweater or vest. It features a point collar and a detachable, double-layered hood; the button holes are hidden along the underside of the collar. There are two patch-and-flap chest pockets and a game pocket at the back, where (traditionally) a hunter would store game when out in the field, to stay hands free. Horn buttons and a locker loop at the neck finish things off.
