These performance pants are crafted from a unique tech ripstop made by the experts at Olmetex, a world-renowned mill established in 1954 in Italy’s Como region. Ripstop is a military innovation, often used in uniforms and parachutes — it’s woven using a special technique that creates a fine crosshatch pattern, making it both lightweight and incredibly resistant to tearing. There are plenty of practical pockets: two gusseted camp pockets at each side, with additional waterproof zippered pockets on top (pockets on pockets!), and two zippered back pockets, too. The fit is a little parachute pant: wide and roomy through the hip and thigh before tapering at the ankle, where there are power cords to cinch them shut. A favorite detail: the magnetic closure at the waist.
