The process involves taking a single yarn and dyeing sections of it in different hues, rather than simply twisting together two solid colors — the effect creates a subtle, variegated look (in this case a moody, sunset-inspired palette). The yarn itself is a linen and cotton blend, and it’s knit with a variation on the cable stitch; all together, it gives this sweater an exceptionally unique texture.
