We searched the world over for the highest-quality fleece we could find, landing on this exceptionally soft recycled poly option from a mill in Italy. Sherpa fleece was first developed in Massachusetts in 1979 as a synthetic alternative to shearling that’s lighter, stronger and quicker to dry than the original. I’m tall and lean. This is not the jacket for me, as it’s much more boxy than expected. Also, less soft than I expected. Had to send back.
Don't buy this expecting a slim fit, it is boxy/loose. It's comfy and very warm. The reverse side of the pile fleece is a smoother knit. I really like the green nylon at the placket, and the color choices and lack of branding set it apart from 'outdoor brand' fleeces.
Looks really nice and is soft. This definitely is not a slimming fit and is more of the boxy comfy look. I can see my wife wearing this more than I might as a result.
Really wish this had a drawstring in the bottom to correct the boxy fit. I had to sew in my own to achieve the fit I bet everyone would want. High quality material looks and feels luxurious and warm.
This will be perfect with a simple t, polo or oxford. Soft, cozy and warm.
