The Linen Field Jacket is our update on the iconic field “shacket,” neatly straddling the line between shirt and jacket. Traditionally made from lightweight cotton in khaki hues, ours is crafted from a crisp, cool, dry Irish linen that’s easy to dress up or down. In an homage to the original military style, each of the four pockets is constructed with expandable bellows for maximum practicality. Timeless, rugged and stylish, the vintage-inspired silhouette calls to mind the leading men of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

The Baird family business was established in 1912 on Ireland’s picturesque northwest coast in Donegal. Today, Baird McNutt produces some of the world’s finest linen out of the Shankbridge dyeing and finishing works, which were originally built in 1798.

When I first tried on the jacket I was very impressed because it has a slight shine to it and it has a great modern fit
