Following close behind tweed, cord and flannel in the fall classics lineup: the cable knit wool sweater. Todd’s given that fairly thick stitch — introduced in Ireland in the early 20th century by fishermen — a modern update this season in our new Channel Crewneck. The soft, lightweight wool yarn is knit with alternating rib and reverse jersey stitches for a clean, vertical stripe. If you only get one new sweater, make it this one; with a chic rib-to-roll trim, a classic fit and lots of colors to choose from, it looks great with everything from pleated trousers to denim.
Very comfortable -- a bit roomier than the size might suggest; nevertheless, 5-stars.
