I love Todd Snyder suits but this one I just can’t find a good fit. I’m 5’11” 160 pounds and wear a 40 regular. The 40 regular had such high armholes and such a narrow waist , I literally couldn’t move my arms forward at all. I returned it for a 42 regular to get more room in the chest and that helps but now the arms are way too long and it’s still a regular. I thought they’d be the same length so I’m gonna have to get them altered with a tailor to fit right. If it’s like a 42 long.
I like the thickness of the fabric. It’s gonna be a great summer suit. The 42 regular fits better in the chest now,, but it gathers now in the back near my shoulder blades. Not sure what’s going on because all the other 40 regulars I bought from Todd Snyder, fit like they were made for me. Anyway, I’ll make this one work. It’ll be a great summer suit, but it’s not what I expected.
Fabric is amazing. Unfortunately this jacket runs small. I could hardly button it ,and I’m in really good shape. I have bought a few of Sutton jackets …but this one i could barely button it …. if I do I look like a
Sausage.. if you are considering this jacket, I would encourage you to size up from your normal size and you’ll have a wonderful outfit. Excellent quality.
I initially suspected the hemp material would feel or fit odd, but no concerns now. This has a great cut & the pick stitch finishes on the front lapels are a nice finish.
This isn’t your job interview or funeral suit, for certain, but I think can easily dress up with a white butting down for evening out or work just as well with jeans & a casual shirt. This is a good get.
