Pretty but not comfortable
They are extremely pretty, but not so great on comfort

Handmade in Los Angeles, CA, these striking mules are crafted from antique Persian rugs — some dating back as early as the mid-1800s — using time-honored techniques. They feature adjustable straps and cushioned, leather-wrapped rubber footbeds. The leather, by the way, is all sourced from Leather Working Group-medaled tanneries. These shoes fit true to size, and are only available in whole sizes; go up to the nearest whole number if you typically take a half size.
*Please note that these mules are each one of a kind — in other words, yours will be similar to what’s pictured here, but will have completely unique variations in color and pattern.
Mikael Kennedy started his career in New York City as a fashion and fine art photographer. In 2009, he began collecting carpets and selling them out the back of an old diesel Mercedes to clients in the city. A decade later, he opened a private showroom in Los Angeles to house his ever-growing collection — and to present his burgeoning clothing brand, KING KENNEDY, which upcycles antique Persian carpets into cult accessories.
