Our pull-on surf short, known as the Montauk, is a luxe upgrade on a classic board short or “baggie,” made from a quick-drying Portuguese fabric with a gently crinkled look and feel and a slight sheen to it. Design details include an elastic drawstring waist, fine mesh liner, a self-draining back pocket and a key holder — so you can safely secure your car keys before hitting the surf. These hit at mid-thigh, and are intended to look equally chic whether you’re on land or out on the water.

Incredible i just chose wrong size!
The previous version of these shorts were much better. The material felt better and more luxurious and the white logo looked better with the blue shorts. Why the change!?

I bought this suit in Navy and also in black and off-white. The Navy suit is a little tight, while the B&W suit is borderline too big. I like them both but its annoying and the smaller size in the B&W is sold out :(

We understand your frustration with the variance in fit, especially when the smaller size in the Black & White is unavailable. Kindly note that the 5" Montauk Swim Trunk in B&W has a bigger rise dimension than the navy one because of production differences. These spec differences can be seen on the available size chart for each short size. If you wish a similar fit to the B&W in other colors, please look into styles with the product code PA2503096 stated in the bullets.
