Fleece was first developed as a synthetic alternative to shearling that was lighter, stronger and quicker to dry than the original. We searched the world over for the best possible version and found it — soft, warm and super plush, it features an embroidered mountain laurel motif; Woolrich was founded in Pennsylvania, and the mountain laurel is the state flower. The design details (a metal two-way zipper, funnelneck windbreak collar and two vertical, zippered chest pockets) offer a modern spin on vintage mountaineering gear. With a generous fit made for easy layering and the perfect, bundled-up silhouette, this works to add a little color to any look solo, or as the perfect cold-weather statement set when worn with the matching shorts.

Warm and Just Flashy Enough

I’m 5’ 11”, got an XS and it hits at the perfect spot on my waist. The fit is a tad oversized.“, so I reco sizing down. Color is accurate to pics and the embroidery is solid; no strings or flaws. I was surprised it wasn’t lined in any way but once I felt how warm it kept me here in Chicago, I realized it didn’t need it. Mr. Snyder always knows best.
