Tried Michael in both 43.5 and 43, 43 was too tight, 43.5 just a hair loose but comfortable to walk in. Will be keeping them, very well made and love the look.
You get what you pay for. I was reluctant to pull the trigger on these classics because of the cost and I wasn’t sure about fit or comfortability. But I was surprised by how well they were constructed and how they broke in rapidly. I usually wear down soles on one side but these are perfectly balanced and that hasn’t been an issue. I wear size 11 and these in 44 are just right with a little bit of room. I tend to slip them on and off like loafers and they are versatile, working well with many styles. Grab some while you can. You won’t regret it.
I had previously purchased this in brown grained leather. Got this because I have a lot of black slacks, shirts and jackets. Wow was I impressed. The black calfskin is way softer than the brown grained version, no break in to speak of. This design is already a walkers friend with is generous (but homely) toe box and a natural rubber sole that's very slightly softer than Vibram cousin. The two eyelet lacing is fine for strolling if not for National Park level rocky trails. All in all, a delightful suprise, first pairout of the closet in the morning. Thanks. WH

Great looking shoe. My advice is to wear them in the house a couple of times before wearing them outside. These shoes are stiff. They're built to last a long time.
