Our bestselling sportcoat is a laidback take on a classic blazer: no stuffy padding, no hot lining, only relaxed, rakish charm. It’s made from a soft, buttery and super lightweight Italian lamb suede. We gave it a triple-shot of sprezzatura with a few details typically found in Neapolitan tailoring: a natural shoulder, double vents and a chest pocket known as a barchetta (Italian for “little boat”) because it resembles the curve of a skiff.
The Todd Snyder Collection is crafted from fine Japanese and Italian fabrics from a few of our favorite old-school, heritage mills, like Tollegno. Founded in 1900, Tollegno oversees everything from harvesting the raw materials to spinning yarn to weaving the fabric, all in pursuit of continuing Italy’s Biellese wool textile tradition.
Sizing was a little on the big side - I normally wear a 42R but has to size down to a 40R - but the 40R fit perfectly. Weight and feel are exceptional and functional buttons were an added and unexpected bonus. Purchased on sale but can comfortably say this may be the best item have have purchased from TS over the last 5+ years.
It just arrived. Shipping was extremely fast, even to Alaska. My husband is going to LOVE this for Christmas! I can hardly wait for him to open this gift. This suede sports coat looks so much better in person, it is absolutely beautiful. The suede is soft and supple, will be comfortable to wear all day bouncing from meeting to meeting, and is light weight. I'm so happy with this purchase.
