A smart style with utilitarian origins, this shirt jacket takes its design cues — like clean lines, a button front and flap chest pockets — from the classic CPO jacket, which is based on a style issued to the U.S. Navy’s Chief Petty Officers in the 1930s. It’s made from an Italian boiled wool fabric that’s been washed for softness, but is still rugged enough to help protect you from the elements. It’s roomy enough for easy layering, and makes the perfect versatile layer; ear it over a tee in the fall and spring, and under a jacket or sweater come winter.

This is a great wool shirt jacket. It hangs beautifully and the material is almost sweater like.
The color is sort of a hunter green or a forest green and goes with anything.
It is lightweight and it is soft and warm. I find myself using it as my go to garment when the air is chilly.

Perfect autumnal layer Funky and traditional
I got this item in size Medium during the most recent TS Winter Sale. Exceedingly good value in terms of the quality of the fabric (100% wool boiled for softness) and tailoring. I am 5'6 and wear a suit jacket size 38, and this fits just right in terms sleeve length and chest size. Even some of my other favorite menswear labels don't get this just right....I am looking at you Burberry, Sandro, and NN07.
