If you want a better chino, sometimes you have to design it yourself. That’s what Todd did here by pulling together the key elements of classic chinos he’s known, worn, loved and lost over time. The fabric, which is imported from Japan’s famed Kuorki mill and made on old-style shuttle looms, recreates the dry yet soft handfeel of a vintage military khaki. The details are old-school too: Button fly, on-seam pockets, back Besom pocket with button closures, melamine buttons and a coin pocket on the waistband, The result is the chino for the chino connoisseur--perfect for work, weekend or whatever.
I have a previous version of these and those are easily the best chinos I've ever worn. The fly on these is made weird and there are lots of lumps and loose ends across the surface of these. These are also a heavier weight than the previous version.
These are the perfect chinos for me. I also bought them khaki and olive.
Great fitting chino pants with a modern but not skinny cut. I highly recommend as an alternative to jeans.
I'm very impressed with the solid construction quality of the pants and they are going to get better with age. I wore them a few times before washing and did not notice a bit of shrink. Wore them a few times more and washed, then tumble dried on low heat - still no noticeable change in fit. Thanks for a fantastic pair of pants that are going to be around for a long time!
I’m slowly coming around to a “baggier” pant cut after wearing slim fitting pants for practically my whole adult life. These chinos are an excellent mid-point for those who are used to slim fitting pants but want a more relaxed look without looking too casual. The fabric is great as well and OOTB doesn’t have that wrinkled or wavy texture that some chinos have. I usually wear a size 33 waist in slim fitting jeans and ordered the same size for these and they’re perfect.
