Beefy tool watch with vintage mil spec feel
Unimatics are thick watches; add a 22mm dbl strap NATO and it has significant wrist presence, even more so with the chronograph pushers. I imagine it will feel a little smaller with a two-piece suede strap (which Unimatic sells, and they taper to 20 mm). [pic below in comparison to a Sea Dweller, which is a pretty thick and heavy watch by comparison]. The overall big and rugged feel is somewhat subdued by the lack of giant lumed hour markers, instead with subtle line indices (non lumed). I think the watch also feels well proportioned lug-to-lug; the flat non-rotating matte bezel also helps in that regard, and the reverse panda sub dials are a nice touch. Overall a cool, beefy rugged mil spec feel but with some refinement. Perfect watch for casual summer nights and weekend warriors.
