Popular in Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and other countries, the Guayabera is often worn in lieu of a sport coat. This is our warm-weather take on the traditional version, in a rustic cotton-blend fabric with a classic stripe in earthy reds and mint green. The ever-so-slightly oversized silhouette features double hand pockets. Treat it like a chic, lightweight shirt jacket and slide it on over a tank or tee, or button it up and wear it all on its own.

In as much as it has a collar and sleeves, it's a shirt. But the style of this is more like a smock and looks awkward if you button it up with nothing underneath.
Unbuttoned it's quite versatile and tanks to tees to oxfords are amped. Secondary colors in the stripes are a great guide for coordinating, and they cover a spectrum of flavors.
It's warm but lightweight, no structure so it takes the form of whatever is underneath. Unsure how it will hold up over time as it's a loose weave but no snags so far.
Still recommend as long as I don't see you wearing it.
The colors are undeniable. It's at the same time vibrant and low key. The fabric is fairly light/porous, so perfect for summer evening or layering on top of a long sleeve year round.
Great shirt. Casual but smart -- I'd love to have more shirts in this style. Summer weight, autumn colors (hence perfect for October, with t-shirt underneath).
