This luxurious balmacaan is crafted from incredibly soft and plush Italian wool-and-alpaca blend in classic black. The balmacaan itself is a Scottish style, named for an area near Inverness where it’s thought to have originated in the 19th century. Our take honors the classic fit — long and relaxed, a true topcoat. Details include two patch-and-flap pockets at the hip, a button vent, raglan sleeves and a peak lapel.

One of the best things I've ever purchased

Incredibly comfortable, works with any outfit. Just an incredible piece that I hope to wear forever. Consistent wear for a month in NYC and it's held up very well so far. For sizing, I'm 6'1 175ish and got a large. The medium could've worked but was a bit more snug around the under arms and shorter on the arms. I like wearing layers under, so went with the large.
